U16 Girl's Badminton

It was the U16 girl's turn to return to district badminton competition at Hyndburn Leisure Centre. Four Schools took part - CRGS, Bowland, Ribblesdale and St Christophers and a competitive Round Robin format between seven teams was played to decide the overall winner. St Christophers had a strong start, as did CRGS A and the two looked like early favourites until a great win by Bowland B threw a spanner in the works.

CRGS needed a miracle in a tense final game with St Christopher and nearly handed them their first loss in a close 3-2 defeat. A 3 way tie for second needed games won to come in as a tie breaker and CRGS, Bowland A and Bowland B finished in that order. An excellent team display rounded off a clean sweep as St Christophers also won the U16 boys competition - Congratulations!
