Ribble Valley Kurling

We hosted a fantastic KS1 Kurling event at St Augustine's this past Thursday. There was a wonderful turnout for one of the last events of the term which had a great festive atmosphere. It was exciting to see so many new faces attending their first school competition!
2 groups battled it out in a round robin format and all played eachother in matches that consisted of 3 ends. A busy schedule meant plenty of action and the children had a wonderful time. There was some excellent Kurling on display, not just in the accuracy and precision to the target but also the tactics on display and understanding how to win a game. Simonstone St Peter's came out on top of Group 1 and Salesbury were the victors in Group 2 after some impressive performances - Congratulations!
It was a pleasure to host so many teams and a massive thanks to St Augustine's for use of their facilities and a really helpful group of Sports Leaders.
