Harriette from The Hollins High school has recently been appointed as the Barclays Game Changer for Girls Football in Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley. As part of the broader #LetGirlsPlay campaign, Barclays Game Changers, are a team of young ambassadors across England who believe that all girls should have the same opportunities to play football at school as boys do. Using their passion for equal access – which may be based on their own footballing journey - our Barclays Game Changers will help inspire, engage and empower other girls, as well as parents, teachers and key decision makers, to want to make a positive change for girls’ football.
Harriette has a great attitude not just towards football but to school in general. She has a real passion for football and is heavily involved with her team Hyndburn Youth Girl's FC, training three time a week for club and school. She has aspirations to one day become a referee in football, setting her sights not just to the women's game, but the men's game too. We wish her every success in her role.
