Year 6 Teambuilding

On Thursday 24th March we held a Year 6 Team Building Day at Wilson’s Playing Fields. There was a huge turnout as schools brought teams of 10 to navigate through a carousel of different activities - all with School Games values such as teamwork and determination on display. Whilst basking in some welcome March sunshine, students had an orienteering challenge as well as a nature hunt through the woods.

Two team building stations featuring a variety of tasks and puzzles were led by the Accrington Academy Sports Leaders throughout the day and they were great role models. The water challenge was a favourite with schools as teams raced against the clock to fill a tube up in order to make ping pong balls rise from the bottom. Thanks to everyone who attended and we hope your Year 6 classes recognised the power of teamwork!
