Girls Football

The girls football season kicked off with two tournaments - one at Bowland High for the Ribble Valley Schools and one at Accrington Academy for the Hyndburn schools.  The standard of play was extremely high and teams were split into two groups with the top two teams going forward to the semi finals in the Ribble Valley event. One semi final was won outright by Pendle Primary School but the other went to the dreaded penalties and was won by St Leonards with Mellor just missing out. In the final it was Pendle who came away victorious with St Leonards in second and Barrow coming away with the bronze medals after another penalty shoot out. Many thanks to Bowland for hosting and providing referees.

The Hyndburn event had two categories - a competitive one and a fun one for the newer teams that just wanted to play!  There were some great team performances but overall results were Mount Pleasant Primary in first, Peel Park  in second and St Anne and St Josephs third.
