Cross Country

It wouldn't be Cross Country without mud and Wilsons Playing fields didn't disappoint on that matter. Secondary school runners completed a challenging course set by Hyndburn Athletics Club that ranged from 2k - 4.5k depending on their age. There were some amazing individual performances but in the end it was Clitheroe Royal Grammar School who won the boys overall trophy, St Christophers who won the girls and St Christophers who won the overall event. Well done to everyone who completed the course

The primary schools who ran later all did extremely well as the course was a mud bath. Several shoes were lost but the runners showed great resilience to complete the course. Again, some great individual performances but the overall team results were Baxenden St John's C of E Primary School in first. St Huberts in second and St Charles in third.
