Ribble Valley Yr5/6 Cricket

We had 11 teams take part in our year 5/6 cricket competition at the Clitheroe Cricket Club. The children were very excited to begin their games, and all played to an excellent standard. They all played everyone in their group, then the winners were taken through to the semi finals. We had the fantastic help of some Accrington Academy and Oakhill students umpiring all the games, a big thank you to those helping out. In the Semi finals we had St Michael & St Johns V Pendle A team and Pendle B team V Read. These games were really tense as pendle A team awaited to see if they would play Pendle B team in the final. Read ended up winning the game and playing Pendle A in the final, however Pendel A team played to an excellent stanard and took the title as Ribble Valley champions for a 2nd year running.
