Year 3 & 4 Ribble Valley Football Competition

What an incredible afternoon at the Ribble Valley Year 3/4 football competition! Around 100 children postponed their trick-or-treating and Halloween festivities to represent their schools in this exciting event.

We welcomed 12 schools, which were split into two groups for some thrilling matches. The top two teams from each group advanced to the semifinals. In the end, the four teams that made it through were Salesbury, Read, St. Leonards, and Pendle.

The semifinals were intense, with St. Leonards and Pendle securing their spots in the final after a fantastic performance. This meant Read faced off against Salesbury for 3rd and 4th place. Great job to all the players!

Congratulations to Read for securing the bronze medals in 3rd place! In a thrilling final, St. Leonards triumphed by scoring that crucial goal in the penalties to become the Ribble Valley Football Champions for Year 3 & 4. A big shout-out to all the teams that participated!

Top 4 Results:

St. Leonards - Champions

Pendle - Runners-up

Read - 3rd Place

Salesbury - 4th Place

Well done, everyone!

A huge thank you to the fantastic referees from St. Augustine's High School for their excellent officiating throughout the tournament!
