Year 6 Glow Dodgeball Event – Honesty, Fun & Sportsmanship!
On Monday 18th November, we hosted our incredibly fun Year 6 Glow Dodgeball event at Accrington Academy, with 13 teams from 11 local primary schools coming together to compete in a glowing, action-packed evening of dodgeball!
The event wasn’t just about winning – it focused on honesty, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Throughout the games, players were encouraged to be honest, follow the rules, and demonstrate positive qualities. After each match, teams scored their opponents based on how well they showed these values. The aim was for everyone to enjoy themselves while displaying great sportsmanship. 
At the end of the event, Mount Pleasant stood out for displaying exceptional qualities, earning them top marks from every team they played. They were selected as medal-worthy for their outstanding attitude! 
Also, St Wulstans were recognized for their honesty throughout the event and were awarded the School Games Honesty Certificates. Well done to both schools! 
A huge thank you to all the schools who took part, and a special shout-out to the 4 fantastic Sports Leaders from Accrington Academy for helping make the event run so smoothly. You all did a brilliant job!
