Ribble Valley Year 5/6 Cricket Competition Recap! 
Last week, we had a fantastic day of cricket as 14 schools took part in the Ribble Valley Year 5/6 Cricket Competition, hosted at the brilliant Clitheroe Cricket Club. With so many schools involved, we ran 4 group stages, with the top team from each group advancing to the semi-finals and finals. The winning teams from each group were:
Simonstone St Peter’s
Salesbury
Read St John’s
Gisburn
Teams that didn’t make the knockout rounds still had the chance to enjoy friendly fixtures, making it a great day for everyone involved. 
The 3rd place playoff saw Gisburn take on Simonstone, while the grand final was a thrilling clash between Read and Salesbury!
Final Standings:
3rd Place – Simonstone St Peters
2nd Place – Read St John’s Primary School
1st Place - Salesbury CE Primary School
Salesbury will now go on to represent the Ribble Valley at the County Cricket Finals – best of luck, you’ve earned it! 
A huge thank you to the fantastic student umpires from Ribblesdale, who did an outstanding job officiating all the games. And of course, well done to all the pupils who represented their schools so brilliantly throughout the day!
