Ribble Valley Physical Activity Festival

On Monday 21^st January we organised a Physical Activity Festival at Roefield Leisure Centre. There was over 80 KS2 students who attended, and it was a fantastic opportunity for them to sample the gym’s excellent equipment and studio spaces. The children got a chance to participate in 4 of the on-trend activities within the health and fitness industry – Dance class, Spinning, Circuit training and use of the Gym equipment. All 4 were greatly enjoyed as the students did a taster Spinning Class, picked up the boxing gloves and pads and used the state-of-the-art treadmills to name a few. Great effort and enthusiasm were shown throughout, and the children went home with certificates for their participation. We worked alongside the staff from Up and Active who put on an engaging warm up and cool down as well as instructing a brilliant Circuit Training class.
