Hyndburn KS1 Kurling

The Hyndburn KS1 Kurling is such an exciting event as this could be the first competition experience for the KS1 students representing their schools at one of our events. 19 teams attended the event at Accrington Academy. Each team consists of 4 students, having all the little children very excited created a great atmosphere.

The teams were split up into 4 groups and the top 2 teams in each group qualified for the quarter finals then semi-finals. These qualifying teams were Peel Park, St Annes & St Josephs, St Marys Oswaldtwistle & Scared Heart. The games showed some excellent tactical play as they knocked each other of the targets. In the tense final we had St Annes & St Joseph’s V Peel Park & playing for 3^rd and 4^th place was St Marys V Sacred Heart.

The overall finishing positions with Peel Park taking gold were

1^st Peel Park

2^nd St Annes & St Josephs

3^rd St Marys Oswaldtwistle

4^th Sacred Heart
